Yoga is a holistic experience that benefits the body, mind and spirit. Lifeflow meditation classes teach mindfulness techniques that you can use to calm your mind, relax your body and cultivate a sense of well being. This Yoga class is designed to complement and enhance meditation practice.
Yoga is for everyone and has been documented and practiced for over 2,000 years. By varying techniques to suit your level, this class will cater to your age and physical condition. By working with your breath during the physical practice of the asana (movements and postures), you will learn to concentrate and focus, leading to a sense of balance and harmony of your body and mind.
Margie Strathearn has been a yoga practitioner for over 25 years. In 1984 she studied with BKS Iyengar at the Ramamani Memorial Yoga Institute, Pune, India. She ran and taught in her own school, the Ayama Yoga Academy, for over 15 years before closing the school to concentrate on her own practice and to further her personal path of study. Margie has been a Lifeflow Meditation member and practitioner for 3 years and through her meditation practice has realised the complimentary role that the practice of yoga has with the meditation techniques taught at the Centre.
