The Centre's Board

The Board of the Centre is responsible for the overall management and direction of Lifeflow. Meetings are held throughout the year, and the Board then reports to the Centre's Annual General Meeting. A financial report is tabled at Board meetings and at the Annual General Meeting.

The current members of the Board are:

Dr Richard (Ric) Daniel BSc; PhD
Chair of Board
Ric has spent extensive periods teaching in various Australian universities and working around the world in the petroleum industry.  He currently works as a senior research fellow with the Cooperative Research Centre for Greenhouse Technologies (CO2CRC) at the Australian School of Petroleum (University of Adelaide), investigating the seal potential of possible carbon dioxide storage sites throughout Australia and New Zealand.  Ric has been practising Lifeflow meditation for 20 years and has been a member of the Board for over eight years.

Michael Noble BA; BA (Hons); Grad Dip Info Man; BA Prof Com
Michael is half-way through a PhD (creative artefact with theoretical exegesis) in the School of Communication at the University of South Australia.  He has been a member of Lifeflow for over twenty years and Secretary of the Board for many years.

Margaret Strathearn BA; Dip PM
Margie has a background in tertiary education and visual arts. She has held various roles in both the public and private sectors for over thirty-five years. During the past ten years she has chaired and served on a number of tertiary education and arts councils, committees and boards. Margie has a lifelong interest in yoga and meditation; she studied in India and taught yoga for 14 years. She recently semi retired from senior management.

Denise Watkins LLB
Until her recent retirement, Denise was Director of Professional Standards at The Law Society. She currently teaches a course in the Diploma of Justice Studies; carries out contract work for the Graduate Diploma of Law Practice for graduate lawyers; and undertakes audit work for the Motor Accident Commission.  She is a Board Member for Riding for Disabled and, until recently, the Adelaide Youth Orchestra.

Denise joined Lifeflow in 1997 and has been a member of the Board for many years. She has been active in the establishment of a new constitution and the maintenance of good corporate governance practices at Lifeflow in its transition from the former centre. 

Ben Dollman B Mus (Hons); M. Environmental Studies
Ben is a classical musician and holds the position of Principal 2nd Violin with the Australian Brandenburg Orchestra based in Sydney. He has a broad range of experience in the performing arts sector.

He has been a member of Lifeflow since 2004 and is a committed contributor to a range of Lifeflow activities.
